Kim Samek
Kim Samek is a half-Thai Emmy-nominated comedy writer and television producer with TV credits including MTV’s Catfish, PBS’ WordGirl, and Issa Rae’s Sweet Life: Los Angeles for HBO Max. She studied creative writing and German Literature at Stanford University and, in a previous life, worked for Sony Music. Her short fiction appears or is forthcoming in Catapult, Guernica, Ecotone, Southern Humanities Review, Gulf Coast, Electric Literature, swamp pink, North American Review, The Threepenny Review, and ZYZZYVA.
A native of Seattle, she has lived in Brooklyn and Berlin and now resides in Los Angeles.
