According to IndieWire/Trailers from Hell, Eraserhead "never had a proper theatrical trailer", suggesting this was made some time after the original release. We should avoid treating this as {{PD-US-no-notice}} unless there's affirmative evidence of when it was published. hinnk (talk) 08:39, 10 June 2025 (UTC)
Keep per this text in the trailer's file description:
Unlike the remastered versions which uses footage from the film itself, this one has the title missing in the first frames of the first shot and the boy (Thomas Coulson) in the 10th shot moves slightly different (an outtake), leading me to believe this was the original trailer.
I think that this version of the trailer using footage that was not in the film itself indicates that it's a pre-release trailer. ArtemisiaGentileschiFan (talk) 11:19, 10 June 2025 (UTC)- That's entirely speculative, and the actual sources suggest it's incorrect. hinnk (talk) 21:53, 10 June 2025 (UTC)
- What actual sources suggest that this version of the trailer was released after 1977? This is clearly not the same one as the remastered trailer that was widely released post-publication. ArtemisiaGentileschiFan (talk) 11:53, 11 June 2025 (UTC)

Comment I dunno if the quote "never had a proper theatrical trailer" is said in a literal manner (the trailer feaured in TFH has more in common to an average trailer than the one in question). My guess came from the Criterion disc which labels the trailer as 1977 (the year the film was released) and the only way
i could findto confirm it's authenticity is to see the version compiled in The Cult of AGFA Trailer Show (which reportedly has it included). --Mayimbú (talk) 00:01, 12 June 2025 (UTC)I withdraw my nomination The blu-ray.com source is good enough for me. Not sure if this is what you meant, but I can confirm the trailer on the Criterion release is this version. I've added it to the video's description. hinnk (talk) 20:15, 12 June 2025 (UTC)
Kept: no valid reason for deletion, nomination withdrawn. --ChemSim (talk) 11:41, 17 June 2025 (UTC)
